Cripple Creek Ice Festival
2018 marks the 11th year of the Cripple Creek Ice Festival! This family friendly event showcases amazing ice sculptors who create intricate designs on 160- pound blocks of ice. You will be left speechless, after walking around and seeing how creative and artistic every individual is. Don’t stay inside just because it’s a little chilly! Grab some hot cocoa, your kiddos and have a great time!
In past years, we have seen many different ice themes, including Mythological Wonderland, Under the Sea, a Rocky Mountain Wonderland, the Old West and a Safari theme. However, we are extremely excited for this years Renaissance in Ice theme! Take a picture with your favorite design and don’t forget to go to the main event tent, where you can purchase votes for your favorite ice sculptures.
There are also multiple fun activities available for all ages! Your children will love the ice maze, ice slide, and interactive ice sculptures, which make this event perfect for photo opportunities and hours of fun. If you are 21+ you can warm up by the ice martini bar, which includes a large ice luge for you to enjoy. Street vendors are also stationed throughout the event and will provide perfect travel gifts and mementos throughout the two event weekends.
Parking
This fun festival also includes free parking and a shuttle service from the Heritage Center northeast of town on Highway 67. The shuttle will provide free travel to and from the event on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.
