The area surrounding Mountain River Lodge boasts an abundance of mule deer, elk, and antelope (the most commonly hunted species).  In the higher country, you’ll find bears, mountain lions, and moose roaming above the timberline. Outdoor sportsmen from around the world come to track and hunt in the wilderness neighborhood. From the mountains to the plains, there are many hunting opportunities for the huntsman and hunts-woman.

Our Lodge borders several Big Game hunting Management Units (GMU): 581, 511, 501, 58, and 50.
